Who are the Blue Angels Squadron Sea Cadets?
Sea Cadets are young Americans ages 10 - 18, who always choose adventure, seek challenges, and step outside of their comfort zones. Sponsored by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, cadets train on military installations in a variety of fields proving that greatness has no age.

What We Do
Monthly Drills & Trainings
Cadets meet, or "drill", as a local unit monthly throughout the year. A unit is structured along military lines and is headed by a Commanding Officer. Blue Angels Squadron, comprised of Sea Cadets (grades 9 - 12) and League Cadets (grades 5 - 8) meet at Coast Guard Base, Seattle.
Cadets are instructed by both Sea Cadet Officers and senior Sea Cadets through classroom and applied instruction in subjects such as basic seamanship, military drill, leadership, knot tying and splicing, signaling, water safety and swimming, first aid, and even fire fighting. Cadets also receive instruction in military drill and discipline and are taught from a syllabus covering naval history to ship nomenclature. In addition to classroom and drill and skills training, Cadets get the opportunity to participate in community events such as parades and fairs.
Community Service
Cadets participate in community service throughout the region. Commitment to service and community is a key element in building character and sense of responsibility.
Advanced Training
Cadets are encouraged to attend a variety of advanced trainings throughout the year to further their education and training. These advanced trainings take place locally, nationally, and globally.
Through regular coursework and advancement, cadets chart their course and have access to training in the areas of SEALs, Robotics, SCUBA, Submarine Training, Culinary Arts, Cyber Security, Field Operations, Maritime Interdiction, Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC), Master-at-Arms (Military Police), Space, Leadership, Medical Training, Music & Band, History & Heritage, Photojournalism, Search & Rescue, Marksmanship, Firefighting, Medicine, Aviation, and many more!
Color Guard
Sea Cadets who have been recommended and appointed by the Commanding Officer have the opportunity to participate in the Color Guard. The Blue Angels Squadron have had the privilege of presenting the colors at community events, professional sports events, and parades. Cadets selected are given special training in flag presentation and protocols.
